Play Strategy Discussion ForumAbout Steve JoelSteve Joel is head of Sport, Arts and Leisure at South Somerset District Council. In 2004 Steve joined South Somerset District Council with responsibilities for Play, Opportunities for Young People, Sport, Active Lifestyles and Leisure Centre provision. Since then he has overseen the development of a new play policy and strategy, with the support of PLAYLINK, and in conjunction with play providers and stakeholders across the district. Steve's background is as a senior development manager for the Lottery Sports Fund revenue programmes in 1996. He then worked for British Sailing, with responsibility for developing and managing the British Sailing team between 1999 and 2004 for the Royal Yachting Association. Back to the main page. |
