Open spaces and the DDA

I am currently working with the head of play spaces to look at a move away from the 'traditional fenced in' areas your exhibition highlights as woeful. I am however wondering what the impact on these areas is in light of the Disibility Discrimination Act especially with regard to access? Any thoughts anyone?

By access I mean the movement of those with various disabilitiesbetween specific pieces of equipment. This will include those with mobility difficulties, wheelchairs, but also visual impairment. I can just see that an area with various levels and natural resources rather than ugly tarmac will prove difficult. i note another member has also shered these concerns.

When you say 'access', do you mean to the site as a whole, or to individual sections within it?
